Vanessa Sanchez

Attorney
     Vanessa Sanchez is the founder of Sanchez Immigration Law, a boutique immigration law firm focused on providing reliable and affordable immigration representation. Ms. Sanchez specializes in family-based and humanitarian immigration matters, including consular processing, waivers, U Visas and VAWA petitions.
     She is a first-generation Latina, raised in Bakersfield, whose parents immigrated to the United States from Mexico. Her parents’ and extended family’s migration stories influenced her to become an advocate for immigrants, who like her parents, came to this country with dreams of a better life. She has dedicated her entire professional career to serving the immigrant community.
     Ms. Sanchez earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice and Master’s in Public Administration from California State University, Long Beach. She went on to graduate from Southwestern Law School and passed the California Bar Exam in 2013. As a law student she interned at the Immigration Center for Women and Children and after law school she worked as an Associate Attorney at a prominent private firm, handling family-based and employment-based immigration matters.
     She is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association. Ms. Sanchez is also a member of the Immigrant Justice Collaborative, a group comprised of volunteer Bakersfield attorneys from various practice areas created in mid-November 2016 with the goal of informing Kern County residents of their rights. She is also committed to giving back to her community and has become an annual sponsor of the Children’s First Literacy Gala.
     When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, working out and gardening.

Nancy Romero

Office Manager

Nancy Romero is the Office Manager at Sanchez Immigration Law. She assists with the day-to-day operations of the office as well with any case work and client support. Nancy is a Bakersfield native having graduated from Liberty High School. She obtained her degree in project management from Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising. She is the youngest of three first generation Latinas. Nancy is a proud wife and mom that enjoys being active. She runs half marathons and is also an indoor spin instructor. Nancy is very proud of her Latin roots and is very passionate about advocating for those who cannot advocate for themselves.

Gabriela Gonzalez

Legal Assistant

Gabriela Gonzalez is a legal assistant at Sanchez Immigration Law. She assists with client documentation, research, and client support. Gabriela is a Bakersfield native and graduated from California State University, Bakersfield with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Pre-Law & Power and Justice.

Alondra Orozco Romero

Legal Assistant

Alondra Orozco Romero is a Legal Assistant at Sanchez Immigration Law; she assists with case work, research, and client support. Alondra is a Bakersfield native having graduated from Foothill High School. She is a first generation college graduate who earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Columbia University, with a major in Political Science and a minor in Latin American and Caribbean Studies.
